[MRCA] PRC-10 Battery Install

Inspired by the PRC-10 information on Breck's web pages I decided to find
and bring back to life a PRC-10.  A shout out to a MRCA member provided one
and in short order it arrived in fine condition.  While waiting for it to
arrive I purchased a inverter power supply from Italy as well as a 6V 10Ah
battery from a US supplier.  To fill the void in the battery box I used
some dense packing foam glued together with contact cement.  I used a piece
of 550 cord as a pull handle so the insert could be extracted from the box
easily for battery charging.  As a final touch I printed the power plug
diagram from Breck's site and attached it to the radio.  Radio powered up
and tuned to 51 with no issue, 1.1 watts output power.




​My test set up, PRM-34 using a Harris 30-512 wide band antenna for the
load.
