[MRCA] Todays M&S Net AAR

Considering what the GRC-19 draws in transmit or standby would think the 100 Amp alternator would have a hard time keeping up! Thought of doing a GRC-19 but the size, weight and power demands were too much. Also to do the GRC-19 right you need the M38 and I have a M151 and last but not least life is better with SSB, all be it just USB but AM and CW only tend to limit operations, epically people like me who are useless when it comes to CW.
Another last thought, somehow I think its way easier to work on the GRC-106 then the T-195, just install the jumper cable and you can run the radio and amplifier outside the box without issues. Try that with a T-195

Ray,

I replaced the 25 A generator in my M38A1 with a 50 A alternator and I still have to keep the revs up to transmit on the GRC-19.

the military 2hn batteries were only about 45 amphrs. somewhere in the -10 manual i believe the vehicle had to be running . ideally if you could get one of the 3kw 100a 28v generators that would be ideal. colemans used to have a lot of them.
