I probably should add a caveat to my posting. I do not want anyone to
get the idea that the flexibility of these new cords are the same as the
originals, they are not. Usable? Absolutely. Robert's comment on the
tinsel type cordage is a real issue. All the headbands use tinsel cord
and the special lugs with penetrating points. In my experience with the
mic cords and extension cables, using PL-55 (PJ-055B et al), JK-26, and
PJ-068 most had a cup type solder lug and stranded wire. I do not
personally recall tinsel wire within these cords and cables. What they
did (do) have is that the 2 or 3 conductors are tightly twisted
together, adding additional flexibility. All these replacement cords and
cables do NOT have this internal twist feature. The only time I've seen
the twist is in some replacement cords for aviation mics. Lastly, be
sure and save the brass crimp rings from phone and mic plugs that secure
the cord in the plug. They can be re-used. Anyway........
