I am attempting to set up a RAT rig with my self-propelled GRC-106. I have a MD-522A modem and the UGC-74 TTY but the issue now is shift. The MD-522 just provides 850 Hz and 85 Hz frequency shift and from what I am told the Ham world is running 170 Hz shift. Anyone had any luck converting the MD-522 to 170 Hz? Or is there any activity still out there on 850 Hz?
Just posting this on MRCA knowing the people over on Milsurplus would rather talk about TTY in 1945 or argue about AC power supplies for BC-348 receivers, or maybe I am the one arguing about that or whatever. Did do an application for "Greenkeys" but not got anything back from them yet so thought I would ask here.
