Yes, in my and my wife's families, our fathers, all of our uncles save one, 
one aunt, one great-uncle and one grand father all served in either the ETO 
or the Pacific.  What's sobering though is that I'm the only Vet and 
retiree in my generation (although a couple of others did serve in NG units).  My 
(future) father-in-law and I were both in Da Nang the night that Tet 
started.
