Hi Breck - Great idea for the Genny and also the dual-use of your field
expedient toilet seat! ;o)
I will be up in the Sierras for 4 days this weekend doing radio ops and
some Field Day contacts. GRC-109 and TRC-77, primarily on 7050 and 3550
during non-contest hours. Running these sets solar/battery powered at a
remote spot 40 miles north of Yosemite. 7550 feet AMSL and still some snow
to keep the drinks cold.....
My buddy will also be running a PRC-174 and a GRR-5 plus we will be running
a VRC-70 with a GRA-6 RWI setup between camp sites. 51.0 if anyone can get
in there on 6 meters. Should be fun..
Have a great time! Tim
