The Stoner series of paramiliary radios are great little sets. Easy
to work on and the technical manuals are superb. Its one radio you can
fix. However you need a "transmit" and "receive" module. There were
originally 20 modules to cover 2.0 to 8.0 Mcs - - -The modules comprise
the front end for the receiver and mixer operations for the transmitter.
Once you have a module it is very easy to modify the module to a a
different band segment and the values are even listed in the manual.
The set lends its self to external VFO ops with a DDS VFO.Donald Stoner
went on to form SGC and was a well known author for amateur radio
publications.
BTW thanks Jeep for the manual.
