Waaaaayyyyyy back in the dark ages when I was growing up (and we had to
carve our integrated circuits from rocks and logs), my dad worked for
Bell and Howell in Bridgeport Conn (1970's). He brought me some control
modules they made for process control circuits that I could play with
(actually wire them up and make working circuits). I also remember they
made some early integrated circuits on a ceramic substrate. They took a
bunch of defective ones, cut the leads off, and glued them to tie tacks.
I'm not sure the part numbers but remember they were op amps of some
sort. I'll see if he still has some of them and what the numbers were.
Cheers & 73
