Ray -

Do you have a photo of one of these packages? The earliest RTL ICs I
encountered were the Fairchild 900 series in the early 60s. Flat packs,
essentially SMDs were made by Westinghouse, Raytheon, Signetics, RCA and
probably some others, also in the same time frame, although they were mostly

Subject: [MRCA] Early Integrated Circuts

In the ongoing journey of moving forward into the past I have now decided
that my life won't be complete until I obtain some series 51 RCTL integrated
circuts. My limited understanding is that they were simple gates designed
for missile and space applications in the early sixties and have package
numbers like SN51A, SN512, SN516 all the way up to SN5191 So if anyone has
any they would like to sell or trade or any of the information regarding
that family of devices please contact me directly. I may have a SN516
arriving soon and although I know it's a dual 2 input NAND/NOR gate would be
good to have a pin out for that device.

The goal is to build up a little demo board with some buttons and leds where
you can see the gate at work. Won't be fun like gaming or being on the
internet or something like that but it's what I am aiming at.
