[MRCA] BC-221 "Transceiver" and OMRN Sunday Nite CW Net

            I had the pleasure of checking into last nights (Sunday) CW 
net  on 3.570  (NCS W3PWW- time 21:00 EST) using my  BC-221  as a 
"transceiver". The BC-221 is a great piece of equipment and also makes 
an excellent VFO. Most of us have these sets sitting on our shelves 
gathering dust and have never done anything with them. Years ago it was 
quite common to rack mount the BC-221 and use it to drive a transmitter 
or use it as a VFO for crystal controlled rigs. The BC-221 is not used 
as a "long range" receiver  very often  but the manual clearly states 
that it can be used as a transmitter or a receiver anyway last night I 
copied all the stations without any problems and was heard by W3PWW,
