The difference isn't that the audio cords such as CD-307, CD-605, CD-1017
and CO-76-A are twisted and power cords aren't. All multi-conductor jacketed
cable has the conductors twisted. But the audio cordage is made from tinsel
wire. That more than saving assembly time is the reason that the terminal
lugs on both ends are crimped instead of soldered. The audio crimp terminals
have an internal spike that makes the connection to the conductors.
