[MRCA] Sunday Night After Dark Moose and Squirrel Net After Action Report

Could not make the Sunday night nets last night. In light of all of the QRM in the lower end of the general part of the band, wonder if we should try good old 3885? It's been my observation during the last few weeks that at that time of Sunday night it;s usually quiet, there may be some bleed over from a group on 3875, but way more hospitable than the down in SSB land.

Thanks for the report, Breck. For me, the problem was QRM. So many QSOs adjacent to us. I could readily make out a nearby SSB qso that was so close, I didn't have to move the dial from M&S to make him understandable.
I wonder if there is a better freq we could use on 80?

I got on last night (Sunday)about 10 minutes early and heard an extremely strong carrier about 5 min before 22:00 very strong and wondered who the "local station" was.
It was KW1I and Dale was really very very strong, the meter on the R-392 was pegged.
I though that condx would be excellent tonight. Several AM (with
carrier) stations appeared on the frequency and then the band began to take a heavy fade in and out. W1AEA was loud one minute and then would fade, Pete was in and out. K1JHM initially was loud. I finally heard W2HX for several mins but rough copy. But the best accomplishment was hearing the famous Jack Antonio WA7DIA from Warner Robins GA, Jack was
right at the beginning about S-2 - - - and I acknowledged Jack
and relayed to Dale. But the skip as usual was strange and the deep fades really started. Overall a successful night because we were able to hear Jack and Eugene but I had to check out at 15 after the hour for family matters.
So Jack wins the best DX for the M and S net.
