A corollary to Murphys Law. 'The longevity of an antenna is inversely
proportional to the conditions in which it was erected'. Antennas
erected in sunny 70 degree weather won't last a day, but put them up at
night in the snow or freezing rain and they'll last forever. Being
sprayed with a garden hose while up on an extension ladder at night in
freezing temps may be a suitable substitute...
