I currently run two ART-13s, one an ATC, the other a T-47A. Both units
are powered by a.c. supplies with 1100v and 400v, with 27 volts on the
filaments. With approx. 700pf on the output, I get a consistant 100-120
watts output on a Bird thruline into a 50 ohm dummy load. Into my
resonant dipole, the identical numbers occur. One antenna current meter
shows about 1.9A of current, the other a bit less. This just about
coincides with 100/120 watts/50 ohms, resistive. In each of these
cases, the VSWR is less that 1.2:1. I use a 12.6 ohm plate meter shunt
and the ART-13 plate meters peak up to just about full scale on voice
peaks. The power supply meters, however, indicate the correct current
that being approx. 180ma. key down and 320ma plate current plus
modulator. As with others, I think perhaps your readings are a bit on
the high side, especially if the dynamotor is being used.
