Possibly, but it only takes a few turns to remove it, and with that
wobbling around on the end I'd be worried it would damage the key on the
end of the tool or the keyway in the end of the line shaft. Whatever
floats one's boat, I suppose.

Absolutely. I have plenty of scars to prove it.
