That's what makes them cool!  The PSU for my RCA made MKII has sounded like it 
has rocks in the bearings ever since I got it about 25 years ago, greasing 
didn't help, and it has not gotten any worse over the years, still makes HV and 
LV DC just fine.  RITIB...
