Breck,
I was using the TW7000 radio with the TW7201 remote head. This remote system uses DHSL modems in the radio and remote head. Unlike some of the other remote heads from Transworld's 100 series radios like the TW5201 and RT5201 remotes, the TW7201 remotes don't require the operator to establish or relinquish local control, no audible chirps are heard as commands are sent from the remote to the radio, and the operator can remotely control every function from the remote, not just a select number of features.
Supposedly, the TW7201 remote is only rated for 2 kilometers distance, but we used it at a previous employer over a 100 mile private line circuit. This wire was only 6 feet long... from the rack to my bench.
I'll send you another email direct to your email address with the TW7201 remote manual.
Alex

Pretty good signals on the net today, I was only able to monitor for the
first ten minutes so may have missed some strong signals later on.
Thanks Dale for the "In and Out"

Anyone interested in data, PSK31 or MT63 using your military radio?
Prefer MT63.
