[MRCA] Timonium, a one time great hamfest

I've been following the extensive poetic waxing.

Fact is electronic in general have changed. We live in a throw away
society. Those excellent radios we ever so love are not as abundant as the
good ol days. I tend to visit the local ham fest for socializing and do my
selling and big spending at near-fest. I've also done quite well and I
price things to sell! I also don't go to hamfest for boat anchors only I
buy alot of pieces and parts.

People are more busy than of the past. Look at "community involvement"
activities. Local VFDs are hurting for people, rod and gun clubs, granges,
adult sporting legues...etc...all former shadows of what they were....I
have no idea where everyone went.

Ham licenses are on the increase, I operate AM on 75m and there is a strong
following in the north east and sometimes we're packed like sardines in the
window.

Things change with time its just life.
