[MRCA] Gilbert NVIS anectdote

Gentlemen, 

  

In Gilbert 2009 I worked with Dale KW1I and 2 others on the "LRRP" field radio test. 

We used Dale's BC-474 and a low,  full-sized 75 meter coax-fed dipole. About 8-10 feet off the ground in the center. 

It worked to make AM contacts with the other stations. 

RCA would have been proud. I know I was, and impressed. 

  

=Personally, I wouldn't use an AS-2259 with QRP. Maybe 20 watts and up, but too many issues for that antenna to be used on 75 and 60 meters and 5 watts with the losses involved. Yes I've used them and I own two.
