Gentlemen,
In Gilbert 2009 I worked with Dale KW1I and 2 others on the "LRRP" field radio test.
We used Dale's BC-474 and a low, full-sized 75 meter coax-fed dipole. About 8-10 feet off the ground in the center.
It worked to make AM contacts with the other stations.
RCA would have been proud. I know I was, and impressed.
=Personally, I wouldn't use an AS-2259 with QRP. Maybe 20 watts and up, but too many issues for that antenna to be used on 75 and 60 meters and 5 watts with the losses involved. Yes I've used them and I own two.
Thank you,
Charlie WD8AXB
