I was a member of MARS for a short time, and, the formality really turned me
off. I remember once I was asked to give a talk on DSP, and, all the names
the different guys used, and the stupid questions they asked, made me quit.

I respect and admire all that served. I never did. I either had a student
deferment or a military deferment. Guess Uncle Sam felt what I was doing at
the time was more worthwhile for the effort, which I  am still not sure of
what it was. 

Regardless, I have been working for the military since 1966, and still am,
full time. From my perspective, I still want to give our troops the best
