[MRCA] Wanted BC-191 box

There are a few links to images of the SCR-193 box that pop up in Google images,
here are two. The SCR-193 was a vehicular installation used in command cars and
half tracks. This configuration does include the BC-312, BC-77, and BC-191 in a
single large wooden box with a canvas cover for the front.

There was also a field installation that used two boxes, one for the transmitter
and RM-12 remote control unit, and a separate box for the receiver, here is a
link that shows the transmitter box. I have come across images that show the
two boxes, if I come across it I will post it. The installation that WA5CAB
was referring to would also have to have an AC supply powered from the genset,
the number of which I can't recall at the moment RA-??, that made the proper
filament voltage and HVDC for the 191. I assume that would have also been
mounted in a field box, but I have never seen a picture of it.

I have a BC-191 transmitter TM in the files here somewhere that show in photos
and drawings the various cabinet installations for the various SCR-xxx
configurations that the 191 was used in. Not sure if the two arrangements of
the 193 box shown in the image links are actual production variants, or if one
is a replication that reversed the position of the transmitter.

Here's a link to a nice replica of the front part of the VRC-1 installation,
which would have included the VHF stuff (12 volt version of the SCR-522 and
associated power units, including I assume the BD-77) in the back half:

At any rate, it should not be difficult to mock up a replica from plywood. I
would think that finding an actual original cabinet would be pretty difficult,
especially in time for a Veteran's Day demo.

Don't tell my wife, but it looks like I could put something like this for the
191 and 312 I have in the Tacoma....pictures of the GRC-9 install which is
running great coming soon, and it (GRC-9 not SCR-193!) be in the truck for
NEARFEST.
