Roger,

The radio set you are talking about is the SCR-177-(*).  The original 
SCR-177 used the BC-189-A receiver (the Signal Corps's first super-het.).  
Subsequent models use BC-312-(*).  The transmitter was run off of a PE-49-(*) 
gasoline generator, not the BD-77 dynamotor.
