I deeply saddened to report that Jeff Ciccone's father WA2FSX passed
away yesterday (Sunday) at 18:30 hours after a hospital stay.
Emidio's call was WA2FSX. He and his son Jeff were regular attendees
at Gilbert, Dayton, and Aberdeen. I always admired Jeff and Emidio for
their closeness and the fact that they has so many interests in
common. Emidio loved amateur radio and surplus military gear, I loved
his stories of the famed "Radio Row" and of his WWII travels and
Fort Monmouth.

A portion of Jeff's email is below:
"I was going through his papers from WW2. He served almost 3-1/2 years
from 1942-1945. He started out as a radio repairman in the signal
corps then was transferred to weather instrument technician in the
AAF. He still had his lessons/notes from Ft Monmouth.! He flew all
over central Africa and Arabia maintained weather instruments
including the ubiquitous radiosonde. . .
