Isn't that amazing, all for (mostly) 100 Hz channel spacing. IIRC,
even the first B versions go back almost 50 years to the mid-1960s.

I bought an almost new condition RT-698/ARC-102 (618T-3) for $50, and
turned down a RT-648/ARC-94 (618T-2) for $100. But the mounting
racks are very rare and expensive...I'd almost kill for a complete
PP-3702/ARC-102 rack with its 400 Hz inverter.

The 618T-series will doubtless goes down in history as the most
important aircraft radio design of all time, going back to the late
1950s for the first 618T-1 models designed for retrofit to 618S racks
using an adapter plate. I've got one of those adapter plates
somewhere, bought with the idea of adapting it to my RT-698.
