BlankPlease email kw1i at earthlink.net if you plan to attend the MRCA Meet on
Sept 20, 21, 22 so that I can make up a laminated badge for you.
Please include your name and callsign, which day you expect to arrive and
whether you are going to participate in Friday's Reconnaissance Patrol Comm
Ops.
You don't have to bring equipment to participate. An extra pair of hands is
always welcome for a speedy set-up at the recon target location. Let me
know which recon target you will be participating at. Descriptions and
directions for each of the five recon targets that are out about ten miles
and surrounding our base of operations at the West End Fairgrounds in
Gilbert, PA are posted at
http://www.mrca.ar88.net/FieldX_2012/Friday%20Recon.html.
If you plan to participate in the Friday comm ops you may want to drive
directly to a recon target to save time and then continue after the ops to
the fairgrounds. If this is your plan please let me know so we will can
anticipate your arrival on the air. Deployed comm teams are expected to
set up and be on the air at target locations at approx. 1500-1530 hrs. The
comm ops should last 1-2 hrs. MRCA communications base should be
operational on 51.0 mHz from mid-day on.
If you plan to arrive Thursday you will need to present a MRCA set-up gate
pass. This can be downloaded from:
http://www.mrca.ar88.net/Set-Up%20Gate%20Pass_2012.pdf
Just show the pass to gate security and proceed to the Howell Building which
is where our communications and displays are set-up.
