[MRCA] RS-6

No...There is an unspecified cable that is shown in the illustration
connecting the GN-58 and the RA-6 Filter unit. No part number or other
details. Per "Instruction Book for Radio Set RS-6; RESTRICTED", no TM or
other identifying document number.

A separate regulator unit like the CN-690/GRC-109 is not necessary for the
RS-6. The GN-58 electro mechanical regulator provides 6.3 VDC for
filaments and the 90 volt regulators already in the RA-6 provide that
function for the low voltage B+. (The 400 VDC B+ is unregulated in both
radio sets.) The mystery cable would have the normal GN-58 generator
connector on one end and another female connector that mates with the PL-3
Power Connector that is part of the RA-6 on the other. Unless some other
document surfaces, it looks like this is a "locally fabricated" cable. Now
that's the kind of Rear Area support we all need!

I have not jury-rigged my set to try the GN-58 so I don't know how it would
perform. Probably fine, like the GRC-109.
