That's not true! I have two 
FT-817, & two FT-897, a IC-703, & an IC-706. I have all five 60 
mtr freqs in them all. You just put them in memory. Daaa! Not only that, those pre-programmed freqs can indeed be changed & most have already been. That because when they came from the factory, all the early radios were set wrong(not for the carrier freq).


Seriously, you even consider, or suggest to a group like this one, such a thing as to negate the use of a PRC-47, or the like, in favor of your FT-817 on a net like the M&S???

Come on!
