If anyone's interested, there's a nice looking ART-13A VFO autotune 
assembly on Ebay, at this time.  Although I'd hate to try and replace 
one of these things, outright, one can convert an ART-13 or ATC with an 
original calibration skirt to this one with the vernier calibration by 
simply replacing the dial and skirt.  It will then provide 1 kHz 
calibration via the "A" model calibration book or tables.  Both mine are 
already done and its a nice addition.
