The recently released MRCG (West Coast MRCA) field day video sparked a
10-meter FM discussion on today's C/LRRP Net.

So, we'll try to support such operation at future MRCA gatherings.
We're talking the "armor" frequency range 27.0 to 38.9 MHz.
Candidate Radios:
SCR-608/628: BC-683, BC-684 (Tank Sets)
SCR-609/610: BC-659 (Jeep Sets)
SCR-619: BC-1335
PRC-9
OK, what did I miss?
Frequencies:
The standard mil channels were at 100 KHz intervals. 29.6 seems to be
the "official" FM calling freq.
I think we're loing at 29.1, 29.2, 29.3, 29.4, 29.5, and 29.6. We
probably should zero in on one or two.
Crystals:
Tank Sets: FT-241 Channel 291, 292, 293, 294, 295, and 296 TX, RX is
not crystal controlled.
Divide frequency by 72 for actual xtal freq.
Jeep Sets: FT-243 (One crystal only for TX/RX.)
Channel 291 - 6200 KHz
Channel 292 - 6225 KHz
Channel 293 - 6250 KHz
Channel 294 - 6275 KHz
Channel 295 - 6300 KHz
Channel 296 - 6325 KHz
So, who's this crazy?
