I know several people with CH-38's and maybe one with a CH-39. A common
problem with the CH-38 is that many if not most are missing the antenna insulator
mounting castings, the leg sockets and two of the four front door latches.
The latches aren't an insurmountable problem as they were used on a couple of
other chests. The sockets are sheet metal and could be made. I guess that if
you had a milling machine and a lot of time you could make the mounts.
The antenna insulator is the other hard to locate item. And the GY-11 Guy.
The antenna mast sections are the same eight as used on the SCR-284. I have a
few of the MS-56 left. And I and several others have MS-55 and MS-54.
Etc.
Oh, I have a copy of TM 11-231 available.
