Maybe Steve ought to weigh in on this but I think since the AS-2259 uses
its own support, there shouldn't be a problem with putting it up in
addition to the traditional dipole at the fairgrounds.
I think that since it is somewhat of an unknown quantity, it should not be
relied on for Ted to run the net.
The traditional dipole acts as an NVIS antenna, as does any dipole a
quarter wavelength or less above ground, but let's play with the AS-2259
anyway.
To try to find a site suitable for the AS-2259 at a remote location, in
addition to the long drive, is onerous. The good thing about my mobile
setup is that it takes about one minute to deploy the wire antenna
extension and be on the air, as I have done on both the OMRN AM and CW.
