Hello All,
I'm new to this reflector and to WW-II radios, but
some will know me from the Saturday morning net on
3885.
I recently came into posession of a BC-375E, which I
intend to put on the air. So far, I've been cleaning
and inspecting and all LOOKS good.
Eventually, I will need a carbon microphone. The
manual says T-17 or equivalent. As a teen in Chicago
in the 50s, I recall that T-17s were a dime a dozen.
Why bother thought I? Well, 50 years later I have my
answer.
So, does anyone have a suitable mic in good condition
with the required plug? Buy, trade for something,
whatever works.
Also, I'm guessing that the brushes in the dynamotor
need replacement. Where does one find such beasts?
Can an electrical repair shop make them?
