Nominally, it is the same as the AVR-20-A receiver, about 2.3 to 6.5 mc.

The most common problem with the AVT-112 is the antenna coupling control, which uses plastic and is more often than not broken, or positions the coupling with a great amount of mechanical "dial hysteresis."  It is difficult to repair.  The only AVT-112 (out of five) that I've ever had which did not have this problem is a new-in-the-box unit.

It also can use the common FT-243 crystal holder, which is what the other two smaller, vertical, connections in the crystal well are for.
