Simple jumper on the Mode switch will also keep the 2E22 filament lit 
continuously when in "Phone."   Contacts involved here easier to get at than on the 
relay.   Exactly where to put the jumper hard to describe in words but will be 
glad to forward a picture to anyone interested.   

Have been running my three 9s for years this way with no tube failures or 
other problems.
