Ulrich,
I have a reprint of the manual, TM 11-231, available for $15.00 plus
shipping. Photographs are not as good as what I usually supply because it was made
from a copy, not an original. However, or rather fortunately, there are only
five photos in the manual, one of the radio set up in a field and the other four
showing the SCR-179 variant packed on a mule. The ones you are interested in
are artists drawings and are probably as good as in the original.
I have a parts unit BC-188 but unfortunately it is missing the nameplate and
meter. The nameplate was gone when I got it. The meter went to another
collector to restore his unit. I don't recall what else has been done to it, but
can check next time I am over in my storage building. I might have a meter
that would at least fill the hole. But nothing I can do about the nameplate.
