Roger,

I concur with an earlier post.  It's probably an S-27 with the wrong 
nameplate.  There were more variations in the series than the three civilian type 
numbers would indicate (S-27, S-36 and S-36A) but what info I have is that both 
the S-36 and S-36A used a 6SL7 audio amp and 5U4 rectifier while the S-27 used 
6C8 and 5Z3.  The Navy RBK series went up to RBK-16 in 1952.  RBK-6 back had 
the early tubes.  RBK-7 on the later (except RBK-11 which appears to have been 
an overhaul of one of the earlier contract orders).
