This will probably require civilian radios. The dumb-ass
FCC defined the channels by center freq, so the carries has
to be on a 0.5KHz interval. My PRC-47 won't do that. I
have an FT-817, that's only 5 watts on SSB.

I'll investigate 2-meter repeaters as well. Cell phones may
also be a solution. The NVIS path I have in mind ain't
gonna happen on VHF simplex.

Anyone subscribe to wireless Internet? I don't think we can
commandeer a phone line.

Should be no problem leaving an antenna up. There is space,
and I'll bring the yellow caution tape to keep such things
out of trouble.
