[Motorola] Hex editing?

I second that... I had a Lowband X9000 and it covers 10m and 6m without any
mods. The Maratrac needs some VCO and PA work to be effective above 51Mhz.
The ones I have had experience with they only put out about half power above
51Mhz and the receive was low on a couple of them. After tweaking the VCO I
could get them to lock reliably but they were still down on the receive
sensitivity thanks to the roll of of the front end filtering.
