Lar:

I'm not certain of this, but I've heard that you can get around the password, depending on what model Moto you're working on.  Some of them will dump the password if you clone another radio directly to the one you're trying to program.  Of course, both radios must be the same make, model, etc.  Also, make sure the clone source was programmed with the same or later s/w that's in the one you're trying to program.

I can't guarantee.  It's something I got 3rd hand a few years ago.
