[Motorola] Comm port setting for Ribless Prog. Cable?

If the mouse driver runs at boot time and you're unplugging the mouse later and plugging in the RIB, the driver will capture the com port and it won't work. Disconnect the serial mouse and plug the cable in. When the computer boots and says starting ms-dos, hit F5. This will prevent any drivers from loading. Load the software and try it again.

Hello Gang,

Should the Com1 setting be the same as the serial mouse uses, when I plug in the ribless prog. cable? (HT1000). I am not getting any indication of cable being connected.

Computer is 486DX-33, running Win 3.11 and Dos 6.20 (Am running at 16 mHz speed)

RSS is ver. 3.00.00..................No indication of radio connected. I do not want to condemn the cable yet.

Any ideas or comments will be well taken.......................Merry Christmas Season!
