Jeff,
Not necessarily. According to the mod sheets at the front of the GM300
service manual, M33GMC20D1A_N does imply 136-162 MHz, but I there are
several numbers for the 146-174 MHz split. The complete GM300 Service
Manual is available for download in parts on the Repeater-Builder site. Go
here for the first part:
www.repeater-builder.com/motorola/gm300/gm300-service-manual-part-a.pdf
Parts A and B contain the model charts. You are correct; the GM300 was not
made in a 136-174 MHz range. The 136-162 MHz split was created for the old
136-144 MHz military band.

Subject: [Motorola] GM300 model ID
Does anyone know if the model ID chart BatLabs has for the GM300 is correct?
I see many GM300 radios on Ebay claiming to be 136-174Mhz. According to
BatLabs that bandsplit does not exist. I'm looking for the 136-162Mhz split
radio. So that model number should be something like M33GMC20D1A . Is the
last number in the model number the one for the bandsplit? Is the (1) truly
136-162 and the (2) 146-174Mhz for the GM300? Thanks,Jeff
