Do you mean if the power is completely disconnected from the radio and then
reconnected you want the radio to power back up on its own when reconnected?
I assume the case your referring to would be that it was running off a power
supply and the ac mains failed and when the ac came back on the power supply
did but not the radio, correct?

You could set up the radio for ignition sense and then connect the ignition
sense lead to the same power source so when the power was restored it would
cause the radio to power back up as well. That's the way i hooked up a few
of them when they didn't have any backup power. If feasible you might also
consider floating a small battery off the dc supply as backup to keep it
running during outages, but this all depends on the circumstances since you
didnt really explain what your going for here.

Subject: [Motorola] Spectra Power-up Mods??

Looking for information on a modification that will allow an A5 Spectra,
dash mount,
to power back up if power is lost. As it is, this radio requires
someone to turn it back on
if DC power is lost.

Thanks,
J.
