[Motorola] Spectra manual

A couple of comments about Spectra manuals. The standard service manual for
the Spectra covers all bands in a single volume. It's quite thick and was
originally sold as a pile of three-hole punched pages without binder or
covers. Fortunately they regularly show up on eBay at reasonable prices.

In my recent experience, the days of inexpensive manuals (or anything else)
at Motorola are gone. In addition to practically everything not supporting
current products being NLA, the prices can be breathtaking. For example,
some of the NLA Syntor X Systems 90-S accessory manuals, which are just a
few pages each, were over $ 80 before stock was depleted.

The manual for the Spectra mentioned above is part number 68-80102W61-O and
as of a couple of years ago was priced at $ 145.31, not a bargain in my
opinion. I got one on eBay for $ 24.99 in new condition and have seen more
at that price, give or take $ 10-20 depending upon demand.

There is also a separate manual covering Spectra RSS (programming.) That
one is equally pricey if it's even still available, and is a restricted
access publication, although you can get by without it.

Nobody to my knowledge has scanned either manual into a .pdf file. It
would be a superhuman effort to do so and Motorola aggressively pursues its
copyrights, as has been already mentioned.
