[Motorola] Awful Radios

I worked for an entity that used Aerotron (I forget the model) UHF
mobile radios. These were the tan and brown dash mount radios with an
internal speaker and push switches for four channels. These radios
failed daily. The non-technical martinet who made the descision to
purchase left the technicians "holding the bag" and getting all the
blame for his flakey Aerotrons. What I remember most were the CTCSS
decoders making an irrititing click in the tinny sounding speakers...
can't imagine being in a vehicle with that going on for the entire shift
and keeping my sanity.
If this is a gripe list, I'm also less than amused with Kenwood
DOS-based programming software. My thoughts are if you still make DOS
software in this day and age then provide a computer it will work on,
and show respect for your large English-speaking customer base by having
someone proficient in that language check your software before releasing
it. End rant.
