Also of note Jay: Motorola makes a switchable wide/narrow repeater Model  
GR-1225 which is available from Maryland Radio and others for About $900 bucks,  
and a set of cans pre-tuned for you for another $300. (Almost can't convert 
them  for that cost). I do have a copy from a MARS member regarding resetting 
the  bandwidth on Micor radios, which can be had for about $20 +/- at most 
hamfests  with about $100 buck worth of parts...
