[Motorola] GMRS question

If the Aerotron radios are still type accepted for 47
CFR Part 90 they are type accepted for CFR 47 Part 95
GMRS so long as the power output is 50 watts or less.

Yes, radios for both FRS and GMRS must be "certified"
(the "new" buzzword for "type accepted"). GMRS, which
got its start as the old Class "A" Citizen's Radio
Service, has always used "type accepted" units and
those mobile units, control stations, base stations,
and repeaters that meet both the maximum power of 50
watts output and the technical standards of 47 CFR
Part 90 (business, public safety, etc.) and are
"certified" can be used without any problem.

You can go to the FCC website and eventually locate
the list of "certified" radios. I don't have the URL
"handy" but eventually you can find it on the
http://www.fcc.gov site. Look on the list to make
sure that your equipment is still "certified".

Fourth, now that I got the license for GMRS can I use
two older Aerotron radios with this license? Do the
radios have to be "Type-Accepted?
