If your agency uses the UHF XTS-3000, and has had noise in transmit, the
following info may help:

Some agencies who use the XTS-3000 UHF model, have had issues with noise in
the transmitted
carrier on all channels. This noise sounds like a strong wind blowing in
the mike, or sounds like a loose
antenna connection. In a radio with this issue, the problem may be
intermittent and can
be hard to re-create (though pressure on the case or antenna base often
shows the radio will have the problem).

In dealing with Motorola, I have learned that their first, earlier fix for
this problem is called SRN1397.
Motorola's newer fix is called SRN1473. When writing up a radio with these
problems, be
sure to suggest SRN1397 and SRN1473 on the write-up.

Hope this helps someone,

Jay
