[Motorola] Linking SMARTNET to EDACS system

Motorola has options that are availible for their systems that allow the use
of a mobile radio (with proper signals, COR, etc.) to link to another
system. AFAIK, the mobile cannot be channel steered...it would have to be
set to a specific channel (conventional) or talkgroup (trunked) and used
that way. A few local systems near here have a specific talkgroup just for
the link, so it's not linked permanently to any normally used TG, but can be
patched in via MSEL whenever needed.

Anyway, I think the option is a card that you add to a certain
backplane...if you have enough open slots. I have no idea how to do this
from the EDACS side, I don't know what those controllers are capable of but
i'm sure it can probably be done. You only need to do one side though, the
other system would just think it's another mobile just like the rest.
