Don and Denny,

Just so you know...I don't run signalling on any of the local repeaters.  I
only use it on simplex and yes, mostly as a 'roger beep.'  I like the
attention it commands when trying DX as well.  Most hams aren't accustomed
to hearing it so they pay a little more attention when they do to see what
it is.  Good conversation starter too, I get a lot of "what is that?" calls
when I'm running it.  I also double program the freqs. in the rig so that I
can 'switch off' signalling if it really gets on someone's nerves.

I do like that one repeater I read about that requires MDC to access it.
Keeps the kerchunks down as everyone has an ID and it's even viewable online
to show who is using it.
