Almost all Motorola radios will only scan 16 channels... exceptions being 
some that only scan 10, and radios like the MCX1000 and Syntor X9000 that 
scan as many as you want. Long story short, you won't find a Motorola 
handheld that scans more than 16 channels.

Be very careful with the HT1250. There are three variants - HT1250, 
HT1250LS, HT1250LS+. The LS derivatives support LTR trunking... BUT - the 
HT1250LS only supports 16 conventional channels! I believe the 1250LS+ 
supports 128 conventional modes, but I've never played with one. The 1250 
is conventional only.
